Prioritizing Kids First, Empowering Teachers Always!

My goal is to prioritize our kids and make sure they receive the best educational experience they can by empowering and supporting our teachers as much as is possible.

As a district, we are struggling with low test scores and maintaining enrollment. This impacts the overall budget and in some cases results in imbalanced class sizes, teacher burnout, and a lack of classroom support.

Our teachers are the heart of our schools. They work hard every day giving our kids the academic tools they need to be successful in class and in life. We need to empower and support them, and hold leadership accountable to do the same.  As parents, we can start by reinforcing their lessons from class at home.  Together with leadership, we must support our teachers by asking them what they need to be successful and providing them with the resources they need to help our children learn.

Our teachers are the front line workers.  They are giving our kids the academic tools they need to be successful in class and in life.  Our teachers cannot give our kids their best unless they are empowered to do their best work, and are supported by parents and school leadership.  We can support our teachers at home by reinforcing those lessons from class, and we can support our teachers as a district by asking them what they need to be successful and doing everything we can to meet their needs.
