About Jason De Muro

Meet My Family

This is them on the first day of the 24/25 school year.

Me, my why, my family.

  • My family is the greatest part of my life and if I can improve their lives, or the situation of others then I feel like it's my responsibility to do so.
  • My wife, Stephanie, grew up and attended school here in Denair along with her siblings.
  • Stephanie returned to Denair after college to be closer to family in her hometown.
  • Stephanie has been a teacher in Denair for over 10 years
  • We have been married for 12 years and have three amazing sons who all attend DECA.
  • I have lived in Denair for 12 years.
  • I feel that our district is capable of providing a better academic experience for our students, and a better professional experience for our educators.

Values and Philosophy

  • Being a good person is more important than an individual's personal beliefs or ideologies.
  • If you can help, you should help.
  • Your actions and behavior should uphold the morals and beliefs of an ideal situation, while your solutions to real-world issues should be aimed at moving closer to that ideal.
  • You need to have a healthy sense of humor.

My father in law and I building a playhouse and sandbox for my kids, he is helping me lift that "heavy" stick.

More to know

  • My 2 favorite things about my life is getting to be my kid's Dad and my Wife's Husband!
  • I played college Lacrosse at the club level from ages 34-37. Lacrosse is a passion of mine, and I served as President for SJSU’s Men’s Lacrosse Club from the spring 2015 semester until I graduated in the Spring 2017 semester. I am still active as an alumni with my club and give back whenever I can. Giving back is. HUGE part of lacrosse culture.
  • I worked in the Club Sports office at SJSU as a Program Assistant, where I made lifelong friends.
  • I am working to grow the sport of lacrosse locally and have partnered with Turlock Sports Park as the director of their new youth lacrosse program.
  • I was recently appointed to the Denair Municipal Advisory Council (M.A.C.) where I hope to aid my community by making sure their needs are heard by local elected officials.
  • I served as President for Turlock Nursery School from 2020-2921
  • I’ve had a lifelong interest in Science and Technology and won first place in the California State Science Fair my Senior year of high school leading to our work being published in the Journal of Chemical Education, a peer-reviewed science journal.
  • I was on the game show Wipeout where they nicknamed me "Capt. Chemistry". I got all the way to the last round!

You probably know my wife's family

My mother in law (Diane Noz) ran all the busses for Denair Unified School District for several years retiring in 2018, she was also on the M.A.C. for several years.

My father-in-law, Casper Noz, is a contractor and built the old banks building across from the Post Office

Casper also built Castle Noz, a renowned event venue where we host a free Halloween party for the community annually.

My sister in law (Andrea) owns a Elegantly Beautiful Salon in Denair, and volunteered in the classroom when her kids attended DECA when it was still called D2A.
